Most Managers Think They're Good at Managing. Most Employees Disagree!!!.

70% of employees say their manager has more impact on their mental health than their therapist or doctor. (Source: UKG), yet, 83% of managers think they're doing a great job. So, what's going on?

  • Trust Issues: 58% of employees say they trust a stranger more than their own boss. (Harvard Business Review)
  • Lack of Feedback: 67% of managers avoid difficult conversations. (Gallup)
  • Burnout Spreader: Poor management is the #1 reason people quit—not salary, not workload. (SHRM)

Managers believe they only need to hit the KPIs, but not building trust, removing blockers, creating accountability and developing people. But let's be real… Most managers were promoted because they were good at their previous job, not because they know how to lead people.

💬 What do you think? Have you ever worked for a manager who thought they were great but wasn't? I have, and in the last decade the quality of the managers has decreased considerably. What has been your experience? Drop a comment. 👇
